Business Mandarin is becoming important and prevalent as China’s influence on global trade is on the rise through their different initiatives. Singapore with close to three decades of diplomatic relations with China continues to deepen our mutual ties through free trade agreements and other projects. Business negotiations between China and local organisations involved in cross countries trade exchanges or other business will thrive.
Business Negotiation is a course for Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians who are proficient in Mandarin but wanting to learn how to effectively negotiate with their Chinese counterparts in the business context. Participants will learn the formal and informal Chinese communication styles for different occasions. Strategies and psychological tactics in negotiation to elicit favourable response from the counterparts. The approaches to address communication barriers and response to queries or questions are also essential skills during the negotiation process.
Assessment & Certificate
Minimum C6 Pass in 'O' level Chinese or equivalent.
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and assessment. The group discussions give participants opportunities to share their experiences while the role-plays to practice and apply the concepts and approaches as like in real world practice.
