The Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Business (SCCIOB) is honoured and privileged to be appointed as the sole Business Chinese Test (BCT) Centre in Singapore by Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters. China from 1st January 2018. The training and asessment for the BCT, supported by SkillsFuture Singapore, aims at building a pipeline of skilled workers with Business Chinese proficiency to supportthe gorwing trade and business in the China market.
The BCT consists of listening, reading & writing as well as speaking tests, focuses on assessing the candidates' abilities to use the Chinese language in business environments and evaluating the language tasks that are able to complete. One of its unique features is the inclusion of business culture to assess the candidates' intercultural communicative competencies.
The BCT serves as a reference for companies to recruit, select, deploy and promote employees as well as for learners to evaluate their Chinese language proficiency.

Where can I take the BCT and how can I make payment?
You may sign up for the BCT at the Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Business (SCCIOB). CAll us at +65 6505 3850 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Payment must be made in full at least 15 days before the test date.
What do I need to know before requesting for a refund?
There will be no refunds for candidates who are barred from taking the test due to any violation of the rules and regulations set by the test centre, in addition and not limited to - failing to bring photo identification such as the NRIC or passport, being late for more than 10 minutes after the designated test start time and not attempting the test on the scheduled date.
When and how will I know my test results?
Results will be available 6 weeks from the test date and e-certificates will be issued 6 weeks from the release of the results.
Who is eligible for funding?
To enjoy the 90% funding, an individual must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who has not taken the BCT in the last 3 months.
If I have taken the test before, am I eligible to take it again?
The BCT test fee is 90% subsidized for all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Citizens, except applicant(s) whom are re-applying for the BCT within 90 days of their previous test and without attending any Certificate in International Business Mandarin (CIBM) Programme or equivalent approved by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
