The pandemic has affected the global and local economy in significant ways and recovery is expected to take a long time. It is important for those who are looking for jobs and even those who are employed to ensure their skillsets are constantly updated.
Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, Tharman Shanmugaratnam has called for employers and jobseekers to play their part, even as he promised that the government would continue to commit its "full energy" into helping displaced Singaporeans. Jobseekers have to be "willing to step into new territory", he said, pointing out that "many" have found satisfaction in new careers.
SCCIOB continues to update and upgrade our programmes to ensure that training is relevant and timely to ensure learners get the best training support to help them develop the right skills for the new normal.
