Towards Training Excellence
The Institute caters to the learning and development needs of a wide variety of trainees and students, including industry/company leaders, senior managers and working professionals, both local and international. The programmes offered can be broadly classified under business studies, language & culture studies, skills training and customised programmes. Being a wholly owned subsidiary of SCCCI, most of our programmes are run in Mandarin, to cater to the needs of SMEs and the Chinese business community.
Each year, over 3,000 students are enrolled into our training programmes. To ensure that our students have a conducive learning environment, we have a total of 9 training & computer rooms (of which the seating capacity ranges from 19 to 73 per class) in our Hill Street campus, which can accommodate at least 300 students at any one time. It is our commitment to provide high quality training programmes to optimise the learning outcome of our students. Apart from full-time trainers, we have a total of more than 100 trainers selected from among prominent academics, industry leaders and professional practitioners..
With the experience gathered over the past 30 years, we have put in place sound internal processes that ensure smooth business operations so as to create the best possible learning environment for our students. To make continuous improvements in our training systems and delivery, we believe in hearing from our students. Thus, apart from having regular contact point sessions with students, we have put in place a student feedback system where students can provide us with their feedback or suggestions. Our Training Facilities
SCCIOB has a total of six training rooms, a Computer Lab and a Theatrette, all fully equipped to cater to the various training needs of our students and clients. The classroom sizes begin from 22.76m2 (able to seat 12 pax) to our theatrette that can sit up to 70 pax
All our training rooms are equipped with internet access, LCD projector, white boards and flip charts. Classroom sizes are scaled to conform to the Council for Private Education’s requirement of 1.5 sq metres per student for general classrooms. Our premises and units are also approved by the Fire Safety & Shelter Department (FSSD) and meet the change of use regulation.
