Applying Sun Tzu’s Art of War Strategy in Modern Business

Part of the China Ready Suite - Participants of the course will be equipped with Sun Tzu’s essential strategies in business negotiation, presenting one’s business proposition or setting up of business collaboration with their Chinese counterparts.

Module Content

With the wisdom of Sun Tzu, you will be confident and tactful in modern business.

  • Introduction of Sun Tzu’s Art of War Strategy and its application in modern business
  • Sun Tzu’s sure-win strategies in business negotiation, presenting business proposition, or setting up business collaboration
  • Sun Tzu’s philosophy on meticulous planning prior going to wars in seizing business opportunities, maximising benefits and predicting and handling potential crisis
  • Sun Tzu’s radical approach by avoiding head-on conflicts, getting ready for unexpected situations and advancing innovative business plans

Methodology

Class activities are designed to be learner-centred and will incorporate real life work scenarios. Led by trainers who are effectively bilingual in English & Chinese and possess real-time business knowledge and supplementary articles, this course will engage participants in presentation and practices to achieve optimal learning experience.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will develop the skill to be more alert or sensitive to read in between the lines of their China counterparts’ subtle expressions attributed by Sun Tzu’s philosophical influence. Further, to predict the counterpart’s next course of action, adopt the strategies learnt to reach a win-win outcome by understanding your counterpart and yourself through meticulous planning and implementation.

Min. Chinese Proficiency of Applicant:

C6 Pass for GCE ‘O’ Level

Able to comprehend and answer the assessment in Chinese according to the learning mode

In-classroom Training: writing - pen and paper

Synchronous e-learning: hanyu pinyin input method (汉语拼音输入法) using one’s personal computer (PC) web-browser

Assessment and Certification

Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance.
