Business Mandarin for IT Professionals

This course is comprehensively structured to aid bilingual IT professionals in learning both the business cultural as well as the industry-related aspects of business Mandarin that prevails in the China market.

Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while role-playing helps the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
Develop the skill to effectively communicate and engage their counterparts with understanding and knowledge on business etiquette, numerical expressions, information, and communication technology systems. Participants will be able to introduce IT services and products to their china counterparts. They will also learn how to avoid contract trap with interpreting contractual terms. With the knowledge learnt, participant will be able to update their industry knowledge by reading IT news and articles in Chinese.

C6 Pass for GCE ‘O’ Level
Able to comprehend and answer the assessment in Chinese according to the learning mode
In-classroom Training: writing - pen and paper
Synchronous e-learning: hanyu pinyin input method (汉语拼音输入法) using one’s personal computer (PC) web-browser
Assessment and Certification
Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Proficiency.
