Business Negotiation
Part of the China Ready Suite - Business Negotiation focuses on the adoption of formal and informal Chinese communication styles for different context of negotiation. The approaches to overcome communication barriers and response to queries during a negotiation are an integral part of the course.

Module Content
Other essential skills that participants will also get to learn are the strategies and psychological tactics to elicit favourable response or outcome from the negotiation.
Negotiation Skills
- Strategies to apply in Chinese negotiations
- Psychological tactics during negotiations
- Managing negotiations (opening & closing)
Communication Skills
- Formal and informal Chinese communication
- Typical communication obstacles and solutions
- Chinese business etiquette
Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while role-playing helps the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
Develop the skills to effectively engage counterparts with an understanding and knowledge on business etiquette, negotiation & cultural differences between China and Singapore as well as business correspondence via email.
Participants will be equipped with principles, techniques, and strategies for business negotiation, as well as the appropriate language and details of the negotiation process.

Min. Chinese Proficiency of Applicant:
C6 Pass for GCE ‘O’ Level
Able to comprehend and answer the assessment in Chinese according to the learning mode
In-classroom Training: writing - pen and paper
Synchronous e-learning: hanyu pinyin input method (汉语拼音输入法) using one’s personal computer (PC) web-browser
Assessment and Certification
Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance.
