China Ready Essentials for Managers and Executives
Part of the China Ready Suite - Singaporean professionals, managers and executives (PMEs) often have to meet or communicate their China business counterparts over business-related matters. The lack faced by such PMEs is typically the knowledge and skill to effectively interact with their Chinese counterparts to successfully develop their business.

Module Content
This course aims to instill PMEs with the skills pertaining to the social and cultural differences between China and Singapore, language expressions that rise to the occasion, email correspondence to effectively and efficiently communicate with their Chinese counterparts to elicit utmost cooperation in all discussions.

Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while presentation and role-playing help the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will have a holistic understanding about business culture differences between China and Singapore. They will be able to talk and behave properly at business meetings and banquets. Participants will sharpen their skills on oral and written communications, and they will be able to give professional oral presentation and write formal business emails with structure learnt, for recipients’ easy understanding of the key points.

Min. Chinese Proficiency of Applicant:
C6 Pass for GCE ‘O’ Level
Able to comprehend and answer the assessment in Chinese according to the learning mode
In-classroom Training: writing - pen and paper
Synchronous e-learning: hanyu pinyin input method (汉语拼音输入法) using one’s personal computer (PC) web-browser
Assessment and Certification
Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance.
