Compelling Chinese Copywriting for Social Media

Part of the China Ready Suite - The art and skill to professionally and concisely communicate in writing is critical to elicit favourable outcome from a business deal. Participants will learn various and latest copywriting skills in Chinese for promoting their company, products, and services on social media platforms, and they will be able to write articles that attract many social media users to read and repost. By converting social media users into followers and long term customers, product sales and corporate competitiveness will be increased.

  • Comparison between eastern and western social media platforms
  • Bilingual copywriting translation skills and features of Chinese copywriting
  • How to achieve the “spiral” publicity effect: reposts and transforming fans into long-term customers
  • Common mistakes in social media copywriting
  • Soft-selling through WeChat and self-promotion on LinkedIn

Methodology

Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while role-playing helps the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will learn how to write compelling marketing posts according to the features of Facebook, WeChat and LinkedIn. With eye-catching titles, audience-appropriate language, convincing content, and supplement of pictures and videos, the posts could get read and reposted by many social media users, which helps company or individuals effectively promote their products and services, develop markets, and maintain customers.
