Reading a Set of Financial Accounts
Part of the China Ready Suite - The pertinent information presented in financial statements helps an organisation to better manage their business while helping investors to assess the risks to strategise their investments. The course presents the insight to the differences in the financial industry between China and Singapore. That includes the accounting systems, industry practices and financial terminologies.

Module Content
Participants will learn the approach in interpreting China’s financial statements as well as financial news reports to appraise the financial status and early detection of financial risks. The invaluable information gathered from the evaluation will help the management, investors and other stakeholders in their decision making.

Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, presentation and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while presentation helps the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will understand China accounting system, enterprise accounting standards, and the composition of a financial report. On top of that, participants will learn how to analyse a financial report and interpret key data precisely.
They will also learn how to take both professional knowledge and economic policies into consideration and evaluate the past and current financial status of a company, and predict the trend, which will facilitate board or senior management in their strategic planning or decision making.

C6 Pass for GCE ‘O’ Level
Able to comprehend and answer the assessment in Chinese according to the learning mode
In-classroom Training: writing - pen and paper
Synchronous e-learning: hanyu pinyin input method (汉语拼音输入法) using one’s personal computer (PC) web-browser
Assessment and Certification
Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance.
