Business Negotiation (Logistics)

Module Content
- Facilitate negotiations, read nonverbal and verbal cues and know when to speak and when to listen
- Develop outcomes to achieve through understanding the history of relationships, areas of agreement and common goals
- Develop collaborative atmosphere during negotiations to reach agreeable solutions
Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with classroom/group discussions, case studies and presentations. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while case studies & presentations help the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
- Management of critical emotions and behaviours are linked to the success of leadership and impacts of business development
- Build rapport through effective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate business negotiations
- Negotiate business based on impacts of organisation’s cost-benefit analysis, previous business relationships and areas of agreement to reach the agreeable solutions
Target Participants:
- Shipping Specialist, Import Export Specialist, Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead in the logistics or freight forwarding and operations of a logistics organisation.
- PMEs who have the relevant work experience from other service industries or sectors wanting to enhance their knowledge and skills, wanting to expand their job portfolio or are seeking national certification/qualification in the Logistics sector specialising in freight forwarding and operations.
- PMEs and career switchers with supervisory or managerial experience, or individuals in other related industries or wanting to join the logistics sector specialising in Freight Forwarding and Operations.
Applicants must be proficient with digital devices and apps to attend the e-Learning delivery mode and complete all online assessments independently.

Participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Statement of Attainment
