Maintain conditions and stipulated requirements for compliance before issuance and dispatch of imported cargo

Module Content

  • Review operational compliance and develop corrective measures for preventative actions
  • Develop guidelines to assist with Shipper Instruction for Dispatch (SID) and export documentation
  • Review effectiveness of staff by assessing impact of issuance and dispatch activities
  • Develop relationships with shippers and customs for ease of clarification when required

Methodology

Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with classroom/group discussions, case studies and presentations. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while case studies & presentations help the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.

Learning Outcomes

  • Develop methods to monitor and control compliance with legislative requirements, including to corrective measures, as well as developing the guidelines to assist with the Shipper instruction for Dispatch (SID) and export document in the cargo issuance and dispatch activities.
  • Examine the various elements of relationship management with customers, suppliers, shippers and customs for ease of clarification when required in the cargo issuance and dispatch process. 

Target Participants:

  • Shipping Specialist, Import Export Specialist, Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead in the logistics or freight forwarding and operations of a logistics organisation.
  • PMEs who have the relevant work experience from other service industries or sectors wanting to enhance their knowledge and skills, wanting to expand their job portfolio or are seeking national certification/qualification in the Logistics sector specialising in freight forwarding and operations.
  • PMEs and career switchers with supervisory or managerial experience, or individuals in other related industries or wanting to join the logistics sector specialising in Freight Forwarding and Operations.

Applicants must be proficient with digital devices and apps to attend the e-Learning delivery mode and complete all online assessments independently.

Assessment and Certification

Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Statement of Attainment
