Cargo Receipt and Inspection
This course equips participants with the skills to analyze cargo operations data, ensuring efficiency in receipt, inspection, and delivery processes. Participants will also review and update cargo inspection processes in compliance with international customs, standards, and immigration procedures, while analyzing and staying abreast of freight operations regulations set by various international authorities in air and sea carriage.
Module Content
- Review and provide assistance to cargo inspection processes
- Manage impact of changing INCOTERMS, IATA or FIATA standards in cargo documentation
- Review efficiency of inspection through data analysis from point of receiving to delivery
- Review documentation and provide guidance through referencing of international regulations
Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with classroom/group discussions, case studies and presentations. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while case studies & presentations help the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
- Analyse cargo operations data to review efficiency of cargo receipt, inspection and delivery process
- Review cargo inspection processes according to the international customs, standards and immigration procedures to keep cargo documentation up to date.
- Analyse and review freight operations according to various international authorities’ requirements and regulations in air and sea carriage to keep the practice or transaction up to date.
Target Participants:
- Shipping Specialist, Import Export Specialist, Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead in the logistics or freight forwarding and operations of a logistics organisation.
- PMEs who have the relevant work experience from other service industries or sectors wanting to enhance their knowledge and skills, wanting to expand their job portfolio or are seeking national certification/qualification in the Logistics sector specialising in freight forwarding and operations.
- PMEs and career switchers with supervisory or managerial experience, or individuals in other related industries or wanting to join the logistics sector specialising in Freight Forwarding and Operations.
Applicants must be proficient with digital devices and apps to attend the e-Learning delivery mode and complete all online assessments independently.

Participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Statement of Attainment
