Freight and Cargo Claim Administration
Perform claim documentation and procedures including filing and monitoring of claims and claim resolution

Module Content
- Develop organisation’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for claim administration
- Develop control procedures for claim administration to ensure due diligence is performed
- Monitor transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness of claim resolution
- Review claim handling systems
- Investigate payment discrepancies
- Review feedback from staff and customers regarding systems and procedures
- Develop new methods and systems for improving claim administration processes
Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with classroom/group discussions, case studies and presentations. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while case studies & presentations help the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
- Develop Standard Operating (SOP) and Control Procedure for claim administration and payments.
- Review performance metric on the claim process as part of customer feedback.
- Review claim handling systems as per emerging trends and technology to develop new methods in improvement of claim administration process.
Target Participants:
- Shipping Specialist, Import Export Specialist, Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead in the logistics or freight forwarding and operations of a logistics organisation.
- PMEs who have the relevant work experience from other service industries or sectors wanting to enhance their knowledge and skills, wanting to expand their job portfolio or are seeking national certification/qualification in the Logistics sector specialising in freight forwarding and operations.
- PMEs and career switchers with supervisory or managerial experience, or individuals in other related industries or wanting to join the logistics sector specialising in Freight Forwarding and Operations.
Applicants must be proficient with digital devices and apps to attend the e-Learning delivery mode and complete all online assessments independently.

Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Statement of Attainment
