Import and Export Documentation Administration
This course focuses on crafting efficient documentation solutions aligned with market practices and emerging trends. Participants will explore methods to enhance the cargo documentation process by integrating cutting-edge logistics solutions, ensuring efficiency and compliance with evolving industry requirements. Additionally, the course equips individuals to facilitate discussions and negotiate settlements in cases of disputes or discrepancies in documentation.
Module Content
- Facilitate discussions on documentation terms in case of disputes and/or discrepancies
- Review impact of changing International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA) standards in cargo documentation
- Develop solutions in response to changing INCOTERMS, IATA and FIATA standards in cargo documentation
- Develop methods to improve cargo documentation processes based on strict adherence to INCOTERMS, IATA and FIATA standards
Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with classroom/group discussions, case studies and presentations. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while case studies & presentations help the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
- Development of documentation solutions to market practices, emerging trends and standards.
- Develop methods to improve the cargo documentation process using integrated logistics solutions.
- Facilitate discussions on settlement of disputes and/or discrepancies on documentation through negotiation.
Target Participants:
- Shipping Specialist, Import Export Specialist, Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead in the logistics or freight forwarding and operations of a logistics organisation.
- PMEs who have the relevant work experience from other service industries or sectors wanting to enhance their knowledge and skills, wanting to expand their job portfolio or are seeking national certification/qualification in the Logistics sector specialising in freight forwarding and operations.
- PMEs and career switchers with supervisory or managerial experience, or individuals in other related industries or wanting to join the logistics sector specialising in Freight Forwarding and Operations.
Applicants must be proficient with digital devices and apps to attend the e-Learning delivery mode and complete all online assessments independently.

Participants who achieve at least 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Statement of Attainment
