Allocate resources to handle a crisis, identify crisis response and recovery activities to be implemented, document activities and implement return-to-normal procedures and communicate key messages to relevant stakeholders. (English Only)

Module Content

  • Allocate resources to manage response-handling in accordance with crisis management plans
  • Identify crisis response and recovery activities for implementation in accordance with recovery strategies and business continuity strategies to ensure alignment of activities
  • Document crisis response and recovery activities data in accordance with information format requirements to facilitate follow-up actions
  • Implement 'return-to-normal' procedures in accordance with crisis management plans to ensure alignment of activities
  • Communicate organisational crisis management key messages to relevant stakeholders to provide updates
  • Review crisis management processes to identify areas for improvement 

Methodology

Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while role-playing helps the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Prepare the crisis management plan as part of business contingency planning
  2. Execute crisis response and recovery procedures as part of crisis management plan
  3. Assess crisis management procedures for improvement

Target Participants:

  1. E-Commerce/Retail Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead in the daily retail or e-commerce activities of retail store.
  2. PMEs who have the relevant work experience from other service or information technology industries wanting to enhance their knowledge and skills, wanting to expand their job portfolio or are seeking national certification/qualification in the Retail industry focusing on e-commerce.
  3. PMEs and career switchers with supervisory or managerial experience, or individuals in information technology or other related industries or wanting to join the retail industry focusing on e-commerce

Total Training Hours: 16 hours (4 days)

Assessment and Certification

Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Statement of Attainment.
