Certificate in Business Chinese Translation Skills
Designed for working adults who need to translate English business documents into Chinese and/or communicate in Chinese, orally and in writing, especially those who work with Chinese clients/ counterparts.
This course aims to equip learners with the necessary skills to translate various types of business documents into Chinese. This activity-based and business-focused course places an emphasis on the ability to “re-write” the English original into customer-centered Chinese, taking cultural sensitivity and customer focus into consideration, instead of a literal translation.

Medium of Instruction:
English & Mandarin
Total Training Hours: 30 hours (3 hours x 10 sessions)
Digital literacy is required (e.g. have attended SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace) for participants taking online lessons
Min. Chinese Proficiency of Applicant:
Minimum C6 Pass in 'O' level Chinese or equivalent.
Able to comprehend and answer the assessment in Chinese according to the learning mode.
Classroom learning: Writing - Pen and Paper.
Synchronous e-learning: Hanyu Pinyin Input Method (汉语拼音输入法) using one’s personal computer (PC) web-browser.
Assessment and Certification
A Certificate of Proficiency will be awarded to participants who achieve at least a 75% attendance & pass the assessment test.
