Essential Chinese for Business

This series of progressive courses, with comprehensive coverage of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, will help participants build up their foundation, prepare for higher learning and finally master the language for professional purposes, with an additional focus on language used in business settings.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to express ideas and communicate with friends, colleagues, business contacts and others in Chinese with ease.

Course Content:

Essential Chinese for Business comprises a series of programmes, ranging from elementary to advanced, to help learners build a strong foundation in the Chinese language. Participants will be assigned to their relevant level based on a Placement Test used to evaluate their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Participants can hope to:

• Build a solid foundation on Chinese phonetics and character writing
• Understand and learn Business Chinese terms through workplace scenarios
• Differentiate between written vs spoken, formal vs informal Chinese during interactions
• Be able to understand and converse on up-to-date topics with native Chinese speakers
• Effectively and confidently communicate using Chinese in daily life and in professional settings
