Business Mandarin for Legal Professionals
Part of the China Ready Suite - Legal practitioners in Singapore are having more communication with clients and colleagues from China, which requires them to know about China legal knowledge and communicate professionally in Mandarin.

Module Content
Participants of this course will learn legal knowledge in China context, including terminologies, translation, legal system, corporate law and contract types. In addition, participants will also learn skills of business etiquettes, formal and informal communication, presentation and negotiation to address communication barriers and elicit favourable response from their clients.

Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while role-playing helps the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will learn basic China legal knowledge for professional communication in Mandarin and process legal documents in Chinese. Besides, they will also learn skills for effective communication with China clients, and introduction of legal products and services. By applying China legal business etiquette, participants will be able to talk and behave appropriately in presentation and negotiation.

C6 Pass for GCE ‘O’ Level
Assessment and Certification
Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance.
