Sales Target Management

Set, analyse and achieve store sales targets to guide sales performance in the store, evaluate and monitor store productivity against business objectives, as well as identify factors that affect sales operations in stores.

Module Content

  • Monitor and initiate to improve staff productivity
  • Review the business environment and raise potential changes in store sales targets
  • Recommend initiatives to support sales target achievement in alignment with organisational strategies and objectives

Methodology

Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while role-playing helps the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
 

Learning Outcomes

  1. Determine store sales target and develop a sales plan taking into consideration factors impacting sales outcomes and trends in customer behaviour.
  2. Communicate sales target with team to drive and motivate them to achieve sales target with reference to emerging competitor and economic activities
  3. Monitor and initiate staff productivity improvement based on customer feedback to grow sales in the retail industry.
  4. Revise store sales target based on the business environment review and customer traffic generators.
  5. Support achievement of sales target by recommending initiatives that are aligned to organisational objectives.

Target Participants:

  1. Retail Manager, Store Manager / Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead in the daily business activities of retail store
  2. Industry practitioners who have the relevant work experience from other service industries or sectors wanting to enhance their knowledge and skills, wanting to expand their job portfolio or are seeking national certification/qualification in the Retail industry.
  3. Career switchers with managerial or leadership experience, or individuals in other related industries or wanting to join the retail industry

Assessment and Certification

Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Statement of Attainment.
