Module Content
- Extract information from reliable sources to analyse market potential of viable areas for investment
- Conduct customer needs analysis to determine market demand
- Conduct environmental scans to identify internal and external factors that impact achievement of organisational objectives
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities to find viable options in consultation with management
Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while role-playing helps the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Learning Outcomes
- Prepare for business opportunities development work with the analysis of market potential
- Conduct customer needs to determine size of market demand
- Conduct environmental scans to help identify factors that may affect organisational objectives
- Evaluate business opportunities in consultation with management to select viable options for implementation.
Target Participants:
- E-Commerce/Retail Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead in the daily retail or e-commerce activities of retail store.
- PMEs who have the relevant work experience from other service or information technology industries wanting to enhance their knowledge and skills, wanting to expand their job portfolio or are seeking national certification/qualification in the Retail industry focusing on e-commerce.
- PMEs and career switchers with supervisory or managerial experience, or individuals in information technology or other related industries or wanting to join the retail industry focusing on e-commerce

Assessment and Certification
Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Statement of Attainment.
