Addresses the skills and knowledge required to model personal effectiveness as a team leader. It covers effective communication, leadership in decision making and developing and maintaining professional competence.
Module Content
Communicate effectively
- Communicate ideas and information to employees and colleagues effectively
Lead team decision making
- Solve problems to achieve optimal results in business units
Develop and maintain professional competence
- Organisational policies and procedures which provide clarification or assistance in relation to the identification of professional competence requirements.
- Relevant professional or industry codes of practice and standards
- Understand professional requirements and ways of pursuing professional development opportunities
Methodology
Lessons are conducted in a structured yet pragmatic manner as lectures are blended with group discussions, role-plays and individual assessments. The group discussions give participants the opportunities to share their experience while role-playing helps the practice and application of concepts and approaches learned through the course.
Target Participants:
Supervisors, Team Leaders and Assistant Managers or anyone who is keen to raise personal effectiveness as a team leader.
Medium of Instruction:
English
Total Training Hours: 24 hours (2 days)
Assessment and Certification
Participants who achieve 75% attendance and pass the end-of-course assessment will be awarded the Statement of Attainment.
