Learning Outcomes
- Apply knowledge of various visualization techniques and types of information displays to select suitable graphical displays to communicate data and findings
- Apply knowledge of appropriate data representations and visual displays to select suitable visualisation techniques and information displays to communicate data and findings in different contexts
- Present data visually to reflect trends and correlations in an engaging and impactful way
- Apply visualisation tools and techniques to create informative and dynamic data displays by incorporating appropriate elements, interactive graphics, visuals and technical features into the data presentation
- Apply basic data dashboard elements to create interactive basic dashboards and scorecards to display internal and external benchmark data by incorporating interactive graphics, visuals and technical features to the data presentation
- Interpret data analysis and findings and communicate the limitations of a given data set and its corresponding data findings to stakeholders
Target Participants:
- PMEs in the retail sector who use data in their decision-making process:
- Marketing Managers, Customer Loyalty Customers, Retail Managers, Sales Managers, the E-Commerce Managers, Data Analysts, Operations Managers, Inventory Control Managers, and Purchasing Managers.
- This course can be contextualised for PMEs from E-commerce and Food & Beverage industries who want to incorporate contemporary techniques, dynamic visual displays with illustrative and interactive graphics to present patterns, trends, analytical insights from data or new concepts in a strategic manner for their intended audience.
Entry Requirements
- Age 21 years or above and have at least 2 years of work experience in supervisory or leadership position
- Able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills WSQ Level 4 WPL (Comprehensive) and WPN
- Proficient with basic working knowledge and functions of Microsoft Excel and/or data visualization software (e.g., Power BI or Looker Studio)
Assessment and Certification
Participants who fulfill at least 75% attendance for the whole course will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance.
