Exporting cargo is a specialized task that calls for good knowledge of the exporting country’s export laws and Customs rules and regulations. Freight forwarders should be experts at organizing the tasks required for the smooth export of cargo from one point to the other.
These days, when most governments and Customs use Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems for their daily transactions and documentation processes, freight forwarders have to be tech-savvy.
Logistics (Freight Forwarding and Operations) equips professionals, managers and executives (PMEs) who are currently working or those intending to make a career switch to the Logistics sector specialising in freight forwarding and operations with the right skills to further their career prospects.
This Qualification emphasises on the ability to develop cargo pricing models in transportation solutions for business development, process shipping documents for customs clearance, provide customers instructional guidelines in operational compliance, cargo inspection processes and in cargo documentation as well as review bulk cargo shipment operational and management plans and claim resolution standard operating procedures in handling of claims and payments.
Course Participant Requirements
- Age 21 years or above and have at least 2 years of work experience in supervisory or leadership position.
- Able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills WSQ Level 5 WPL (Comprehensive) and WPN.
